Toulouse, Yesterday,

A comparison of south-west France: to-day with the devastated regions in war time was made by M. Tardieu in an interview following his tour of the flood srca. He sald that the technical problems must be approached exactly as after the armistice, and peasants must be housed in hotments pending the re-building of their cottages, after which the vine industry must be restored and re-nfforestation carried out in order to minimise the possibility of a recurrence of the catastrophe.--Reuter

There was reason to be Heve that the plot was assisted by intrigues emanating from the trade agency at Pashawar, which Abdul Hakim Khan refused to hand over to his successor, appointed to represent the Government of Afghanistan.
