The latest step in the Manchurian dispute is the despatch of Notes by Great Britain and France to the Chinese and Soviet Gov- ernments, in which the belligerents are reminded of their obligations under the Kellogg Pact. Joint representations on the matter have also been made by Great Britain and the United States.
Asked by a member in the House of Commons whether he could give an advice to British Nationals in China, in regard to their lega! position, Mr. Arthur Henderson, Foreign Secretary, replied that so important a matler could not be answered at the moment.
