James Rae Clarke, former head
of the New York banking house
of Clarke Brothers, who died in his eell

Federal Prison in Atlanta, Mr. Clarke who was 52 years old, was sentenced in August to serve a term of eight years for violation of the banking laws. The collapse of his banking house is said to have involved the toss of shout $6,000,000. Heart disease was given as the cause of Clarke's death.
