Pan-Pacific Association Entertains Congressman Dyer
Congressman L. G. Dyer of Missouri, "Father of the Chine Trade Act," was the guest of honour at a tiffin party given at the Astor House by the Pan-Pacific Asso- ciation. Mr. S. N. Zau, of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Labour, presided and introduced the speaker to a distinguished assembly of guests and members.--

A tragic end greeted the Polish flyers, Majors Leon Idzikowski,
left, and Casimir Kubala, right, in their attempted flight to New York
from Paris. They tried to land their 'plane, "Marshal Pilsudski,” on
the island of Graciosa, Azores, but the 'plane crashed on the rocky
shores. Idzikowski died at the controls and his companion, who jumped or fell from the 'plane, estuped with serious injuries. Winde
of near hurricane force were responsible for the failure of the fight.

Chicago pilots, plan the route for their proposed round trip, non-stop
Bight from Chicago to the West coast, thence to the East coast and
back to Chicago, a total distance of approximately 7,000 miles. They
expect to re-fuel in the air, and to make the trip in something like
60 hours
One hundred New York Naval Reservists, a group of which are shown on the gangplank of des-
troyer No. 234, bag and baggage, sail from New York for two weeks of active sea training. More
than 9,000 reservists throughout the country will take similar cruises, the course of training to include
division maneuvres, gunnery exercises and ship routine. Below, Lt.. L H. Rabbage is giving last
