An interesting event in the an nals of the law in Malaya took place in the Supreme Court before
the Chief Justice (Sir William Murison), yesterday morning, says the "Singapore Free Press"
of
August 20, when the en- tire Bar officially bade farewell to Mr. Justice G. C. Deane, Puisne Judge of the Straits Settlements and Judicial Commissioner of the F.M.S. since 1924, who has been promoted to the position of Chief Austice of the Gold Coast.
