A visit to the Yeung Wo Nursing Home, Happy Valley, was paid by His Excellency the Governor (Sir. Cecil Clementi, K.C.M.G.), yester day afternoon. He was accompanied
assisting with life saving classes at St. Stephen's College, and have displayed both enthusiasm and efficiency to a marked degree.
Last year the men of the 12th Heavy Battery achieved a good number of successes, and it is hoped that they will continue to do so this year also. Three qualified instruc. tors who passed out in Hong Kong last year are now furthering the work of the Society in their new stations, two in Ceylon and one at Home.

The Belilios Medal was awarded
to six Chinese for life-saving at a pleasing function which took place yesterday in the compound of the Central Police Station.
There were present the Hon. Sir Shou-son Chow, the Hon. Dr. R. H. Kotewall, C.M.G., LL.D., the Hon. Dr. S. W. Tso, O.B.E., LL.D., Mr. Li Yau-tsun, C.B.E., and many others representing the Tung Wah Hospi. tai Coramittee, also a squad of Police Reservists, Fire Brigade men and Chinese constables.
