Hailed as the hero of the Nobile resche, Captain Einar Lundborg,

Swedish aviator, with his wife stated that he alone was guilty of per-

suading the "Italia's' commander to leave the rest of his party, acting

on orders from his superior officer to bring back Nobile.

This is one of the first pictures of the wreck on the Canadian National Railways at Parry Sound, Ontario, a deserted wildernes far from aid. The trains met head-on and fire which broke out almost at once caused the death of twenty passengers.
