Traffic Sergeant Kelly, after de- posing as to the obstruction on the morning in question, said that the parking of care at that parti- cular spot had been a frequent occurrence.
Submission of Defence Drawing a diagram of the place where the car was parked, inside a bay caused by the curved-in wall of the Jockey Club's main en- trance, Mr. Lo handed this to the Sergeant and submitted that there was enough room at that spot for a car to pass between a tram and the wall,
The Sergeant agreed, and also concurred with Mr. Lo's sugges- fion that, where Mr. Wilson's car was parked, it did not extend be- yond the mouth of the bay in the wall.
Traffic Sub-Inspector Nicols agreed with Mr. Lo that that was a case where a warning should have been given to the defendant before a summons was taken out, After Mr. Fiddes Wilson had deposed that he had parked his car at that
particular spot for two years but had ceased doing so since receiving the sum- mons, Mr. Lo submitted that the' case did not constitute an obstruc- tion in law.
A Technical Offence His Worship did not agree and found that there had been a tech- nical obstruction, he thought, however, that it was a great pity that the Police did not inform the defendant or the Jockey Club in] general before taking action in the matter. Mr. Fiddes Wilson was discharged with a caution.
The Chinese driver of private motor car No. 1271, who was sum- moned for a similar offence, was also cautioned.
ZIONIST SCHEME
AN EINSTEIN FOREST IN PALESTINE?
It is proposed to plant a forest in Palestine in honour of Prof. Einstein's fiftieth birthday. Zion- ists have already commemorated their founder, Herzl, and Lord Balfour, whose name was given to the famous Declaration, by great plantations, and it is now proposed to pay 2 similar tribute to the eminent scientist, who in recent years has identified himself with the Zionist cause.

The initiative has been taken by the executive of the German Zionist Federation, since Prof. Einstein himself lives in Berlin, Mr. Israel Cohen, general secretary of the Zionist Organisation, explained in an interview with a representative of "The
