ANOTHER DAYLIGHT COUT IN YAUMATI

KIMBERLEY-ROAD THEFT

THE DAGGER AGAIN

Before Mr. T. S. Whyte-Smith An armed robbery occured at Yaumati, at the Kowloon Magistracy this No, 66, Park-street, morning, a Chinese was charged just before 11 o'clock this morn- with the theft of a head-piece of ing. an iron bedstead, the property of Mrs. Capell of No. 9, Kimberley- roal, Kowloon.---

Mrs. Capell's cook said that the bed, which, was dismantled, was kept in the verandah and the ac cused must have reached through 'the verandah railing and dragged

the head-piece out.

An Indian constable said that the accused was caught by a post- man who handed him over to wit- ness.

Accused's excuse was that a part of the bar was sticking out of the verandah and obstract-; ed his passage. He was in the act! of pushing it in when the post- mau seized him and accused him of theft,

hund.

Particulars of the affair are rot yet available, but it is understood that three robbers were concern- ed in the affair, one of them being armed with a dagger.

They ransacked the place the roughly and got away with a quantity of money, clothing and jewellery the value of which has hot yet been ascertained.
