OLDSMOBILE SIX

Keen appreciation has grected Oldsmobile's smart new beauty. Naturally such modish lines and striking colours would win the llon's share of admiration from those who know It only "from the curb." But every day Oldsmobile performance neizes the attention of those who never knew it before-because you can't know it till you drive the car. THE DRAGON MOTOR CAR CO., LTD. NATIONALISTS NOW HAVE

NORTHERN TROUBLES.

Difficult To Envisage Successful Counter-Attack.

THE BIG RACE FOR PEKING.

[By "Li Chung-yin."]

Not only have the Nationalists reached the most northerly point in their history but because they have inflicted severe defeats on their rivals, they now have a superiority in number of troops on the field.

Following the logical course of events in the past, it is dif- ficult to envisage a successful Northern counter-attack as was

launched last autumn.

Interest is now centred on how long it will take any one column of the Nationalist allies to reach Peking, and if there will be a race between the present allies.

Whereas last year three columns were engaged in a race to the North, only two are still in the running and they are still abreast

of cach other.

TWO COLUMNS.

As was the case in 1927, the Nationalist Army of Nanking re- ceived the most publicity. This was due both to more intensive propaganda work and to the more spectacular features emanating from them.
