BUILT FOR FAMOUS AERO- PLANE DESIGNER.
THREE MOTOR LAUNCHES.
One of the most important among the large new yachts built this year, has just been launched from Messrs. Camper and Nichol son's yard. For many reasons the vessel, named "Vita," is of spe- cial interest. She has, in the first place, been built for the well-known ae engineer, Mr. T. Sopwith. As may be im- agined, she is fitted with internal combustion engines, not only for the main power plant, but also She for auxiliary purposes. carries, for instance, no fewer than three motor launches, each fitted with an Allsa Craig marine motor. These engines are of the very latest overheat valve de sign, for which the makers, the Ailst Craig Motor Co., Ltd., of Chiswick, London, are so well known. The launches are of different sizes, the largest being a fast 24 footer of mahogany, fitted with a Kid Six de luxe 20-30 h.p. unit, the next a 20-ft. utility and towing launch, with a. 10-14 hp. Kid 4-cylinder en- gine with reduction gear, and the smallest a 16-ft.. boat with a 2-cylinder Kld Junior 6-3 hp. engine. The yacht is fitted. throughout with electric light, hosted by electric radiators', and' fires; while electric fans and a AMERICAN AUSTRALIA ORIENT refrigerating plant are also pro-
vided.
