The oil-pulin (Elaeis guineensis) was introduced into the Dutch East Indice in 1848. Four young pulins, two from Bourbon and two from Amsterdam, were planted in the Botanical Gardens to be Towing vigorously and bear- which! fruit, was distributed freely, writes Mr. G.
