PARIS, February 27, The Ambassadors' Conference has assembled to discuss the British memorandum for military- control of Germany which proposes to revive the inter-Allied plan of September 1922, substituting a committee of guarantees with limited functions for the present control commission. The plan was dropped owing to the occupation of the Ruhr.

BRUSSELS, February 27.
The Chamber has rejected by 93 to 79 votes a bill embodying the Franco-Belgian economic cor- pention. The premier announced that he would Tesign as the Government had made the bill a matter of confidence.
The Franco-Belgian convention which has caused M. Theunis to resign has been the subject of negotiations for two years.

Ponsonby de-repiled in the affirmative to a question whether the Wheatley, Government intended to introduce a Bill enabling them to appoint a committed to deal with the disposal of the Boxer indemnity, but said that no inference should be drawn with regard to the likelihood of the Boxer indemnity funds becoming available for defaulted payments on unsecured debts of the Chinese Government.

A joint session of Congress was held in honour of the memory of the late President Harding at which President Coolidge, Mrs. Harding, Cabinet Ministers and members of the Diplomatic Corps were present.
Mr. Hughes, the Secretary of State, in an eloquent address, declared that Mr. Harding's death was due to his exhaustion of himself in the service of his country.
