After a thrilling trip, to North Eastland, lying northeast of the main Spitzbergen Archipelago, the Merton College Arctic Expedition from the University of Oxford, England, fed by F. G. After a search of many years President Jacobs, of Oglethorpe University, Atlanta, Ga, located the body of General Sir James Oglethorpe, founder of the State of Georgia, interred in a vault in Cranham Church, in Essex, England. Efforts to remove the body to Georgia led to so many protests it was decided it would not be moved. General Oglethorpe died in Cranham Hall, Essex, his ancestral home, which has been kept in a splendid state of preservation.
