Buck Garrett, picturesque fighting plainsman and former partner of Bud Bellew, famous Oklahoma sheriff and two-güo- man, who was killed some time ago, is in command of 20 desperate men, who form a personal bodyguard for Governor Walton.
Flora Richardson, a pretty Maine girl, was freed in a Boston court when she was arraigned on the charge of carrying a pistol. She explained to the judge that she "packed" the weapon to pro tect herself against the insults of young men she met on the streets.
