PEKING, November 28, Owing to the pressure of the neutrals Wu Ching-lien finally placed on today's agenda the vote for the nomination of Sun Pao-chi.
. Upwards of two hundred attend- ed the House this afternoon, the Opposition being strongly repre- sented.
At 145 pm the House elected Ku Chil-juni as Speaker, for the
day.
As Ku was, about 10 take the chair, Wa'Ching-lien, accompanied by his supporters and his body- guard; entered the House and de- manded to know what Ka 'was doing. The latter replied that the House had elected him as Speaker. Wa Ching-lien then replied that he was Speaker and the

should not be taken; moreover, the House should open at two o'clock and not earlier. Wu then approached the chair and Ku moved off.
The Oppositioners thereupon rase in a body and occupied the floor of the House on which most of Wu's supporters were standing. A general fracas ensued in which Mo Lin, Wang Shu and two others of the Opposition were injured.
As the disturbance continued, Wu Ching-lien announced that he was unable to restore order.
The House then gradually emptied, the four who were injured asserting their intention to bring an action against Wu Ching-lien.

BISSION TO BRAZIL.
LONDON, November 28, A British mission, including the Rt. Hon. E. S. Montagu, Sir Charles Addis and Lord Lovat, is proceed ing to Brazil at the invitation of the Brazilian Government to study the economic situation with the view to freer investment of English capital there.
OIL DIVIDEND.
LONDON, November 28. The Anglo-Persian Oil Company has declared a dividend of ten per cent, compared with twenty for the last three years. The balance carried forward is £1,777,000.
