HE GAVE HIS BLOOD.

A Soldier's Battlefeld Skorifice.

Much interest was aroused recently by an offer of £20 to any healthy person who would sacrifice a pint of blood to save a child's Efe. Blood transfusion is by no means uncommon, and there are many cases that are rever bronsht to the public notice. One instance that recently came to fight of a soldier who gave two piats "of his blood to save a comrade's life is well worth chronicling. The narrator, Private F. W. Wart, who now lives at £, Wheatley's Cottages, Crewkerne, Somerset, England, had an interesting story to relate. He joined up'in 1915. and went on active-service just before Christmas, 1918. He was woanded no less than three times, and it was while in the 19th Casualty Clear- ing Sta-ion, France, after his third- wound that the direct transfusion of blood book place.

The story of Pte. War's experience should be interesting to sufferers from violent headaches, indigestion, norve troubles, and rheumatism, which in

When I was wounded fur the third time and was mixed to volun tcer to give blood whilst lying in hosp ital I willingly decided to do so. 1 very pleased to know that the giving of quart of blood saved gnother soldier's Life, and am sure that it was the result. of taking Er.
