Their Majesties are greatly distressed by the tragic suddenness of the fatal termination of the Crown Princess of Sweden's illness. Much sympathy is felt for the Duke of Connaught. Stockholm reports that the death of the Crown Princess was due to blood-poisoning, heart failure, and general weakness enhanced. by advanced pregnancy. The Polish Government has officially recognised Petlura's Government and acknowledged the right of Ukraine to independence. Pilsudski has issued a proclamation that his forces entered Ukraine to expel the Bolsheviks and would remain until the Ukrainian Government was established when it would withdraw. Simultaneously Petlura in a manifesto said a Polish and Ukrainian agreement had been established under which both will fight their common enemy, the Bolsheviks, until Bolshevism is defeated.
