The trade for the year, which was a -record one, shows that the increases in importe amounted to £21,250,000, nad the increases in exports to £38,250,000. The chief increases of imports during the year wars in food, drink, and tobacco, £10,000,000; wood, £5,500, -000; metal and oras, £2,250,000; and wool, £1,250.000.
