Pressure has decreased elsewhere, con siderably over Formosa, moderately over the Philippines, S. China, and Annaro, and slightly over N.E. Chica.
Observations to haud indicate that the typhoon has curved to westward and at;
.., was in about latitude 20 N. and longitude 120 E.
Observation from the Loochoon xze necosary to confrm this.
Moderate to fresh N. winds may be ex- pected along the E. coast of China.

Hongkong Tides.
The tide table given below has bee compiled at the Nautical Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an ss. tomatis tido-recording machine in the Wa bor Police Basin at Tsim Sha Tani daring the years 1887-89,1
The zero of the table corresponds with the sero of the soundings in the Admiralty Charts which has been found to be 4 lase 3 inches below mean sea level.
To obtain the depth of water on the tide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add s leet 4 inchos, and on the gauge at Lammutti Dock, Aberdeen, add -10 feet 6 inchse to the haught given in the table.
