There was a crowded attendanço at the dedication service in connection with the now chapel at St.--Paul's College and the opening of the new schoolroom underneath on Saturday afternoon. The dedication service was entirely in Chiness except the address by Bishop Lauder and was closely followed by the numerous Chinese present. Hi Lordship was supported by a number of the clergy including Chinese and amongst those presont were His Excellency Sir Froderick Lugard and Captain. Simson.
Bishop Lamler said they had come thero that alternoon for a two fold purpose, to dedicato the chapel and to epon the new schoolroom. The chapel would be used for several purposes. It would be used as a place of instruction for the students attending St. Paul's College. There they would care the instruction that would transforme the morals and be a foundation for good charater, and there they would be taught the foundation of the christian faith. There they would learn their duty to God and their duty towards their neighbour. It would also be a place for worship for many christinus Hiring ir that part of the Colony. St. Stephen's Church was some distance away and was already full, so that services would be held in that chapel week by week for those living in that neighbourhood. He hoped that members of St. Stephen's would not think it altogether necessary to leave it and come to the now chaper there were plenty of members to fill both. O,They had given of their money and various gifts with great liberality and they had asked him, as their representative, to dedicate those gifts to Almighty God. He hoped the services to be held in that chapel,
