The zero of the table corresponds with the zero of the soundings in the Admiralty faet Charts which has boen found to bo 4 inches below mean
level. To obtain the depth of water on the tide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add 9 feet 4 inobee, and on the ganga at Lamont Doak, Aberdeen, add 10 feet 8 inches to the height given in the table.
