A Dark Horse.
New York, Jan. 30. A curious piece of news,concoming the approaching Presidential campaign reaches me to-day. It is this (and I give it for what it is worth): that a movement is on foot song the moderate men of butli parties in the country to bring forward tr Judson Harmon as Democratic candidate. Mr Barmon, it is thought, could secure the votes of all the Deinegrals, every faction plumping for him. Mr W. J. Bryan is reparted to havo said of him: A man I could support with all my heart and woul." So far, the movement has boon carried us privately. So encouraging, however, are the results that at an early lay a public campaign in his favour way he opened. Mr Harman is a lawyer practising in Cincinnati; he was Attorney-General in Mr Cleveland's Administration; he anan of great ability, high character, and a taking personality.
