The "Seoul Press" statos that, accord. ing to a Japanese paper published in Korss, the Budget of the Koresa Government for the current year is expected to show a con- sidetalte excess in expenditure. The total receipts for the year were originally estimat- od at Y13,189,000 and the expenditure at Y13,903,000 indicating a deficiency of Y774,000. The situation was made from bad to worse throngh different causes, no- tably the uprising in the interior. Tho Receipts have so for shown a shortage of rome 1,290,000 while the expenditure has swollen unexpectedly. The Reserve Fund, we are told, has already been exhausted and the excess in expenditure will amount to nearly three million yen at the end of this year. Under theso
