It is stated that them are as many as 30,000 Chinese students in Japan already, and the influx contmues. The proximity of the two countries and the cheapness of living in Japan will always ensure that the great bulk of Chinese students will go there for educational pur poses, but signs are not wanting to show that the Chinese cannot acquire in Japan all that it is desirable for them to learn. The Japanese knowledge of science has been so recently acquired that the education her professors are able to impart must of necessity be somewhat superficial.
