AMOT, Sopterabor II. AN ICH PAMINE. For some wrecks, almost montlia, Auroy has beer suffering from an ico famine, bocans the beight of summer was chosen to make a change in the ico-producing. plant. Unfortunately, it has taken a long time to get the now gas-machine. into working order, with the result that many consumers of ice, among others, the Ay Club, had to make their own arrangenomis to get ice from Swatar of Houghing. It is only to-day (the 11th) that Messrs Watson & Co. have been able to send nu express round acquainting the public that! they are now prepared to supply ice in unlimited quantity from this time forward. The price has been reduced to 2 cents per b., with a minimum amount of 5 lbs, at stimo. It is carneatly to be hoped that no further breakdown of the apparatus inay vetur, as it is not safe to be absolutely without ico in a part where sudden illers may render the use of ice imperative, if life is not to be thrown away.
