SONBARS, April 4, The tragic murder of the Mahamja Balador Sir Harballab Narayan, Singh, K.C.I.F, pecured at a raj village camp some twelvo miles north of Sonbarsa.
On the first instant the Maharaja was in the best of health and ready to start for. Sonbazza the following morning. He had returned from an evening drive and was walking outside his tent when shortly after 7p.. or a little later a loud report of a

of murder. A crowd assembled instantly. The Maharaja was bleeding profusely from two wounds just above the loins, the hullete having passed through the abdomen and out at the other side. It is believed the Maharaja was fired at from close quafors and with explosive bullets. The act was committed practically in the midst of the village and his own retinue, and it la marvellous that nobody seems even to have seen the murderer.
In spite of his fatal wounds the Mahaia- ja was conscious enough to scribble down
