SAN FRANCISCO, December 5. President Roosevelt has sent a personal
mesage addressed to the authorities of the city of San Francisco and, to the State of Califarais, appealing to thom in the name of all teno Americatus to give way to the demands of the Japanese Government on behalf of Japanese subjects as to the school question.
He has pointed out to thema the attitud of the Federal Government, and states that their position, in the face of the protest of the Japaness and many Ameri cans, is wicked, claiming that their stulboin stsud on the question is untenable and Lábstitä.
