The zero of the table is Low Water Or dinary Spring Tiles, which, has been found to be 2 fast below mean sea level,

To obtain the depth of water on the die gauge at the Victoris Naval Yand add 5 ft. 7 in., and on the gauge at Lanco Dock, Aberdeen, add 12 ft. 9 in. to the hoight given in the table.
