ALLEGED OUTRAGE, Ng Kong Foong, described as a soldier from Kowloong City, was charged with at- tempting to marry off by force a woman named Chung akiu at Show-ki-wan. The woman said that her father-in-law was fined $100), and being unable to pay, the defendant, with several other men, went to her house at show-ki-wan laat night, and asked her to pay the amount. They took away a box of clothing valued at 83 or $4. she then orted out and attracted the atten ion of a constable; the detendent was arrested, but the other men fled to the boat and mad their escape. The stolen property, she said, was her own. Her husband's name was Cheung Afat.

The Straits.
There le only one other point on which we would remark.
