Kom Achoi, a widow, aged 31, was charged with attempting to commit suicide by taking opinm. She stated that the charge was true; she attempted it in con. sequence of poverty. She came to Hong. kong in February and lived in Tak Hiog Lano. Her brother, who is a water-carrier, supported her, but she considering that he earned only enough to support one per son, determined that she would no longer be a burden to him, so had resolved to destroy horself. Remanded until the 2nd pruximo.
