SHIPPING REPORTS. The American ship National Eagle, from San Francisco, reports the first few days on leaving port had strong S.E. gales, in which lost one suit of sails, than moderate. weather and light N.E.. monsoon till arri- val in port; 43 days out.
H. I. M. steamer Lucifer from Manila, reports fine weather. The Lucifer has been on a cruise in search for the missing French gun-boat Le Monge, but reports that ahe could see nothing of her, and it is conclud- ed thereforo that the Monge went down. As the gun-boat loft Saigon in the middle of November for this port, it is presumed that something would have been learnt ete this of her whereabouts bad not she found ered on her way.
