Bus Captain Of The Year
For the Bus Captain of The Year competition, a KMB panel screened 6,000 bus captains' records for performance, attendance and traffic accidents. This information was combined with a survey of passenger opinions carried out by Commercial
Radio, which evaluated captains on the basis of factors such as safe and steady driving, courtesy and helpfulness to passengers. Bus captains also sat for a test on driving safety. Successful bus captains competed in a driving skills competition at their respective depots, driving four types of bus. In December 1992, the 20 winners representing their depots took part in the final competition in Shatin. The overall winner, bus captain Mr Yu Ka Yue, received a cash prize of $10,000, a one-ounce gold coin and a Cup.

在九巴傑出車長選舉方面,九巴之遴選小組以 工作表現、考勤及意外紀錄為標準,從六千名 車長中進行甄選。此項資料會連同一項由商業 電台所進行之調查合併處理,該項調查乃根據 車長駕駛是否安全穩定、對乘客是否有禮及樂 於幫助乘客等因素評核車長之表現。而各車長 亦須參加駕駛安全測試,獲選之車長會在本身 之巴士廠參加駕駛技術比賽,駕駛四種巴士。 及至一九九二年十二月,二十名優勝者代表所 屬之車廠參加在沙田舉行之總決賽,而最後得 獎者為車長余家禹先生,獲頒發一萬元現金 獎、一枚一安士金幣以及一座獎盃。
