NEW BUS SHELTERS

The Company has initiated a program to build aluminium bus shelters to provide better protection for passengers waiting for arriving buses. Since the first aluminium bus shelter was erected in February 1991 a total of 108 have been completed and the Company plans to erect a further 200 in 1992. In future years, KMB will continue to build more aluminium bus shelters throughout Kowloon and the New Territories. The Company will select sites, on a priority basis, in consultation with the Government and District Boards.

Each shelter will have a route map, with route details, fare tables to provide information for passengers. Advertising panels can also be fixed to the shelter. Each shelter will have a specific name, related to a neighbouring geographical feature or well-known building, so that passengers can identify

its location.

新有蓋巴士站

本公司已展開一項興建鋁質巴士站之計劃,免除候 車乘客日晒雨淋之苦。自首個鋁質巴士站於一九九 一年二月建成以來,共有一百零八個巴士站相繼落 成,本公司並計劃於一九九二年加建二百個。在未 來日子裡,本公司會繼續在九龍新界各處興建更多 鋁質巴士站。本公司將會就選址及先後次序諮詢政 府及區議會。

各新巴士站均貼有路線圖,為乘客提供路線詳情及 車費表等有關資料。新巴士站亦可加設廣告壁板。 各新巴士站均就其附近之地區位置特色或著名建築 物而命名,以方便乘客辨別其所在地點。
