KMB and its staff made contributions to assist the

the new route maps - $1,000,000-was donated to the Community Chest. Staff members of KMB participated in various "Walk for Millions" and raised a further $50,000 for the Community Chest. Along with many other people in Hong Kong, KMB and its staff made contributions to assist the victims of the floods that ravaged Central China during the summer of 1991. Our donations totalled $1,314,000.
一百萬元經已全數撥捐公益金。公司員工亦曾多次 參予「百萬行」活動,為公益金再籌得五萬元善 款。正如本港不少市民一樣,本公司及其員工亦於 一九九一年夏季共盡綿力,賬濟華東水災災民;捐 款總額達一百三十一萬四千元。
OUTLOOK
The on-going development of New Towns, with a shift of the population from the traditional urban area to the new development estates, provides us with an opportunity to expand our services. Major
areas of new development are Ma On Shan, Tseung Kwan O and Tin Shui Wai. As more people move into newly completed estates, we will add new routes and add more buses to the existing routes serving
these areas. KMB will continue to purchase suitable
new buses to meet the needs of new routes, as well
as to replace older buses in our fleet.
展望
隨着新市鎮不斷發展,市區人口逐漸轉移至各個新 發展之屋邨,本公司亦得以擴展服務。主要之新發 展區域包括馬鞍山、將軍澳及天水圍等。由於市民 陸續遷入各個新落成之屋邨,本公司將在該等區域 增闢新路線及在原有路線上增加巴士數量。本公司 將繼續增購合適之新巴士行走各新路線,並取代車 隊中之舊巴士。
