routes were introduced, compared to ten in 1987. Seven of these new routes are serving the intakes at Ma On Shan, Junk Bay and Tsing Yi and three are new express routes linking Tuen Mun via Tuen Mun/Tsuen Wan
Road to Kowloon. In addition, route extensions and frequency improvements were implemented to cater for the increased demand.
Another effort to provide the public with a better service was the
introduction of more services using
air-conditioned midibuses. In 1988, four
such routes were introduced. These
provide a higher level of service to
areas where demand does not warrant
the frequent use of normal high
capacity buses and at the same time
improves financial performance.
則為十條。在新開設之巴士線中,七條
接載馬鞍山、將軍澳及青衣之乘客,三條
爲駛經屯門公路/荃灣道連接屯門與九龍
之特快巴士線。此外,為應付增加之
需求,本公司已延長部份巴士路線及增加
“班次。
本公司為向市民提供更佳的服務,亦
開辦更多路線使用冷氣中型巴士。
一九八八年本公司開設四條此等巴士線。
此舉可為部份客量不足以支持使用大型 巴士行走的地區能享用更高質素之服務,
同時並可改善路線的財政狀況。
