(c) be covered internally by double fine brass wire gauze having a mesh of not less than 28 to the linear inch, and

(d) be protected externally by small mesh iron gratings.
(3) Every ventilating aperture at high level shall- (a) be situated in the roof or as near as possible to the top of the walls, «
(b) be constructed with a steel frame,
(c) consist partly of a ventilator which shall be covered with double fine brass wire gauze having a mesh of not less than 28 to the linear inch and partly of wired glass not less than one quarter of an inch in thickness.
255. Nothing in regulation 254 shall prevent the pro- vision and use of metal shutters for all ventilators and apertures as a protection against inclement weather.
256. No container shall be stored above the lower chord of truss.
257. In any godown which is not a separate building, no container shall be stored nearer to any wall than two feet, and the Licensing Authority may, in addition, require that stacks of containers be separated by a gangway.
258.-(1) No soldering shall be carried out in any godown except in such part thereof as is so constructed as to form a separate compartment divided from the godown by a wall made of material which is incombustible and impervious to liquids and inflammable vapour.
(2) The floor of every such compartment shall be lowered below ground level to such a depth as will form a space, below ground level, capable of containing the whole of the contents of the maximum number of containers which may at any one time be kept in such compartment.
259.-(1) All leaky and damaged containers shall be stored in metal trays either in a storage place separate from the godown or in a part of the godown so constructed as to form a separate compartment divided from the godown by a wall made of material which is incombustible and impervious to liquids and inflammable vapour.
(2) Every such storage place and compartment shall be adequately ventilated.
(3) The floor of every such storage place and compart- ment shall be constructed of concrete and shall be lowered below ground level to such a depth as will form a space, below ground level, capable of containing the whole of the contents of the maximum number of containers which may at any one time be kept in such storage place or compartment.
260. Every place or compartment intended and used for soldering or for the storage of leaky or damaged containers shall be situated in such a position as shall be approved by the Chief Officer of the Fire Brigade.
261. No light, explosives, fire, matches or other sub- stance capable of igniting inflammable liquids or vapour shall be allowed in any godown.
