(3) Each diaphragm shall be constructed of double fine. brass wire gauze having a mesh of not less than 28 to the linear inch.
(4) The space between the diaphragms shall be not less than three inches.
239.—(1) Every storage shed shall be constructed of masonry, iron, or other non-inflammable material, and the floors of every such shed shall be tiled or paved or constructed
of earth or concrete.
(2) Such floors may be covered with wooden boards or light wooden flooring for the purpose of preventing damage to the barrels, drums, or tins stored in the storage shed.
240. The doorways and other openings of every storage shed shall be built up to a height of not less than two feet above the level of the ground outside it, or the floor of such shed shall be sunk to a depth of not less than two feet below the level of the ground, or the storage shed shall be surrounded with a masonry wall or embankment or both.
241. Every storage shed shall be adequately ventilated by the provision of ventilators at high and low level.
242. Regulations numbers 233 to 241 inclusive shall apply only to those portions of installations where low flash liquid and/or high flash liquid is kept for storage, manipulation or blending.
243. (1) Every enclosure formed round any tank or group of tanks, whether in compliance with regulation 237 or otherwise, shall at all times be kept clean and free from waste vegetation and rubbish and accumulations of water.
(2) Every such enclosure shall be drained by a pipe or pipes fitted with a valve or valves of a type approved by the proper authority and operated from a point outside such enclosure.
(3) Every such valve shall be kept closed except when the pipe which it controls is actually in use.
(4) Every such valve shall be fitted with an indicator showing if the valve is open or closed.
(5) The wording on such indicator shall be in English and Chinese.
(6) Paragraphs (4) and (5) of this regulation shall also apply to valves in pipe mains used for conveying low flash liquid, high flash liquid or heavy oil.
244. (1) In every installation→→
(a) no point on the perimeter of any tank containing low flash liquid shall be nearer than fifty feet to any point on the perimeter of-
(i) any other tank, or
(ii) any storage shed or other building, or
(iii) the outer boundary of the installation, and
