To expedite delivery, and to avoid undue delay in clear- of parcels through the French Customs, the particulars on Customs Declarations should be full and precise in all details (including the full name and address of the addressee), and as far as possible in accordance with the classification of the French Customs Tariff. Those forms should invariably state the gross and net weight of the parcel, as well as the number given to the parcel at the time of posting and must, in addi- tion, indicate whether or not the contents of the parcels are being forwarded in connection with supplies or works for the French Government, As far as possible the forms should be made oub in the French language and should show weight OF measures in
the French (decimal-metric) system.
Every package of plums, preserved vegetables or sardines must hear the name of the country of origin in raised or sunken letters; the cover of the parcel must also bear the name,
