Bottom right: Dinning room with sliding doors (right)

An open timber tread staircase leads from the foyer to the lobby which is at first floor level.

Two large double doors with heavy timber frames that continue the oriental motif lead from the lobby into the spacious lodge room,

are a

Adjoining the lodge room dining room and a men's bar; both have sliding doors that can be recessed into the end walls to make the lodge, dining room and bar into one very large room for special occasions. Also at first floor are the kitchens, a bar for men and women and card rooms.

Bars, lodge and dining room are finished in timber wall panelling and have timber grid ceilings against white ceiling panels. The panels are of frosted glass to give diffused lighting. Ceiling grilles provide conditioned air and light music.
