Club house and approach ramp
VIDE use of a variety of Philippine
W hardwoods is made both ex-
ternally and on the interior floors and panelling of new premises built at Palm Village, Makati, for the Elks Club.
Cantilevered balconies on each side of the building are timber framed and are covered by sweeping roofs with long eaves to give the club an oriental look. More than 11,600 board feet of Wolmanized timber and plywood is used in the building.

total floor area of 2,500 sq. metres. Outside facilities on the 12,000 sq. metre site include large and small swimming pools, children's play area, tennis courts and a car park.
Ground floor accommodation in the club includes a gymnasium, a
fully air-conditioned four-lane bowling alley, lockers, sauna rooms, massage rooms and a youth room.
The main entrance foyer is placed mid-way between the ground and second floors and is approached by ramps on either side of the building.
