the best view, two terraces off bedrooms, and a large patio off the entrance hall which is protected from the afternoon sun.
A short approach road climbs up from the main road of the estate to an ample car court at 236′ level. A short flight of steps leads up from here into the entrance hall, and the living room, dining room and service wing are all on the same level 242". From the hall a staircase leads up to the bedroom wing on the 250′ level, with the study on an intermediate level.
A stone retaining wall forms separating wall between the living room and the bedroom wing, and a large fireplace is built into this wall on the living room side.

This form is roughly pillared by the building as a whole and was dictated by the contours of the site, and the desire to open up as much of the house as possible to the magnificent views to the southwest and still provide ample garden area on the east side of the house from which the prevailing breezes blow and which will

chen, a two-car garage, with servants accommodation under garage and driveway.
The layout of this residence is similar to Lot No. 7 and, here again, because of the natural contours it has been pos- sible to place the bedroom on a higher level giving greater privacy to these rooms and also makes it possible to open these rooms directly on to an upper lawn also approachable from the living room lawn by a flight of stone steps.
Picture windows have been provided in living room and dining room, and these have been aimed at the two most at- tractive views, one to the southwest out to sea and the other to the northwest towards Deepwater Bay and the Peak.
Contrasting with the other projects on the estate, which are all designed on modern lines, the exterior treatment of the residence is on modified Spanish lines with red tiled roofs with the massing and the general details in keeping, but retaining the open planning and large window openings of the modern house. Stucco walls are relieved by roughly dressed granite and some stonework is carried into the house, especially for the fireplace wall of the living room.
