Hisham Albakri was sent England to study under the technical co-operation scheme of the Colombo. plan. in conjunction with the British Council who arranged for him to visit several architectural and plan- ning offices including the Ministry of Works, the Ministry of Health development group and the Building Research station.
Said Hoilaway: "I am very pleased that the British Council have asked me to contribute to Mr. Albakri's training; the object of his period of study in my workshop is that I can acquaint him with the way in which artists may co-operate with architects in a practical way. so that he can set up similar arrangements when he returns to Malava
