REDUCES PERSONAL

CONTACT TO A MINIMUM

Interior of the Tang Lung Chau Market, showing stalls on either side and hawkers' pitches marked out in the centre floor space.

NE of the basic planning re-

quirements in designing the recently opened Tang Lung Chau Market, which was opened in March to replace the old Sookunpoo Market in Jardine's Bazaar, Hong Kong, was to segregate delivery and vendor's circulation from that of the customers, so reducing to a mini-

mum all contact between the two types of user of the market.
