The side door is used as a trades- men's entrance and also in the even- ings, when the rest of the building is closed, as an entrance to the flats upstairs.
A reinforced concrete canopy ex- tends from the building six feet over the pavements of both the main and side roads.
In the front half of the first floor is the Service Department, contain- ing eight imported machine repair benches with special oilers together with two machinery benches for lathe, grinder, drill and vice. Off the showroom and opposite the entrance is a hall leading to two demonstration rooms for the account- ing machine and cash register divi- sions. These rooms are sound- proofed and business can be discuss ed in complete privacy.
At the back of the building on the ground floor is the Sales Division. which consists of a Salesmen's Room, the Sales Promotion Office and the Printing Room. Also at the rear are toilets and a doorway to an outside yard into which descends the fire escape, and from which there is an exit to the scavenging lane.

The back of this floor contains a school room for training machine operators, an office for salesmen and demonstrators and an accounting service bureau. The service bureau will contain machines and operators for doing accounting on a contract basis for customers who do not have enough work to justify the purchase of their own machines.
At the rear of this floor are three small offices, a storage room and a spray booth. The storage room has specially built racks where machines are stored after servicing. This room includes a large confer- ence table for eight, and has а private shower and lavatory. The secretary's office contains a small reception area. The meeting room is long and narrow and was designed for the numerous office meetings. The new auditorium has small platform at one end and is equipped with forty comfortable aluminium chairs. Besides being used for meetings, the auditorium has other purposes. Movie and slide projectors will be installed in the narrow part of the back of the room for displaying the numerous educa- tional films which the company pro-
