Hong Kong Builder

The prominent feature of the building is the clock tower which is

surmounted by rows of glass brick

which, lighted at night, forms an

attractive landmark for the neigh-

bourhood. The exterior of the build-

ing has been surfaced with tapestry glazed facing tiles.

The two residential blocks each

contain six flats, there being two

flats to each of the three floors.

The main entrance hall is through

the centre of the building which allows for symmetrical disposition

of the rooms on either side of the entranceway. Each

flat contains six rooms, the living and dining rooms be- ing combined into one large room with a verandah 17′0′′ X 10′0′′ facing the street. Of the three bedrooms, one has an individual attached bathroom while the other two have one bathroom between them. In addition, there

is a guest lavatory off the hall. A study with a corner

window opening onto an open area completes the arrange-

ment. There is the usual service section which has been

conveniently grouped around the service yard in the rear,

while closets and box rooms have been strategically dis-

posed throughout the flat.
