As made in Hong Kong, each slab of Cellocrete measures 80' x 20'', or II. sq.ft., and one cubic foot weighs about 25 lbs.
Normal brickwork is about 105 lbs. Cellocrete is made in thickness of 6/8", 1", 2", 3" and special sizes can be supplied as required. Its structural strength is such that 2" and 3" Cellocrete on a 24'' span will support a uniformly distributed load of 210 and 245 lbs. re- spectively per sq.ft., and on a 16" span, 2'' Cellocrete will support 756 lbs. per sq.ft. Tests have proved this.

Cellocrete has excellent thermal conduc- tivity. A 3" Cellocrete wall has greater heat insulating properties than а 36" brick wall. Technical tests made by Prof. J. C. Peebles, Armour Institute, Univer- sity of Chicago, (Flat Plate Method), have established the thermal conductivity as 0.458 B.T.U. per sq.it., per hour, per thickness, per one degree Farenheit. Based on this and other tests, Cellocrete thermal insulation is from nine to ten times greater than normal brick. Put it another way:
a 2" Cellocrete wall has the same thermal insulation as a zo" solid brick wall. This makes it an ideal mate. rial to use as insulation against heat and cold and in preventing condensation on the interior surfaces of buildings.
What about this for Hong Kong's humidity? Its sound insulation is equally

Experiments in tropical countries like Cellocrete is resistant to termite attacks South Africa and India have proved that
In the manufacturing process the chemical treatment of the wood wool completely petrifies the vegetable matter, and SO makes it unattractive to termites and vermin. Throughout the life of Cellocrete this petrification goes on and on and be. comes still more complete, and this gives Cellocrete its long and endless life.
