Sound is deadened and absorbed by it. Tests on a two inch Cellocrete partition wall showed transmitted sound as less than one-fifth of 1% at a frequency of 512 cycles.

The Fire Resistance Period (F.R.P.) of a three inch thick Cellocrete Partition, plastered half inch thick each side, has an F.R.P. of two hours; (a brick wall requires 8 in.) two inch thick partition slabs an F.R.P. of one hour. Cellocrete has been Test Chamber Tested and withstood a temperature of 1,700 degrees Farenheit for one hour and completely prevented fire from reaching the outside of the partition wall.
