Notes on Planning.

Two adjacent sites "A" and "B" adjoining the Government Quarry at North Point were allocated by Gov- ernment to the Hong Kong Housing Society in April, 1954. Site "A" has now been developed, and the 47 tem- porary cottages formerly on site "B

were removed.

The scheme, as now planned, con- sists of five blocks of flats each ten storeys in height, with a total of 595 flats giving accommodation for 3.825 persons. The difference in levels provided an opportunity to include shops on the King's Road frontage: the rentals which may be expected from these will slightly reduce the rentals required for the flats.
