DESIGNS OF BUILDINGS FOR JARDINE'S LOOKOUT SCHEME

In our previous issue we gave an outline of the build- ing scheme fostered by the Hong Kong Home-Building & Investment Co., Ltd., at Jardine's Look-out. Plans have been submitted to Government for the development of the area and it is hoped to begin work very soon on the con- struction of the road giving access to the site from Tai Hang Road.

In a scheme of this nature, catering for low priced buildings for prospective home-owners with limited means at their disposal, there was a great danger of the sponsors yielding to the tendency of erecting stereo-typed un- interestingly designed structures in an effort to keep down costs. Usually a scheme of this nature results in series of square or rectangular boxes varying only in size and position.
